V-shape recovery continues
For the first time, my portfolio crossed the 150k value mark, which is awesome.
Broadly speaking, the market continued to drift upward on positive news flow in February (dovish Fed and positive US-China trade war rumours mainly). February’s performance has been largely driven by positive momentum in Hang Lung Properties and Frasers Logistics and Industrial Trust.
During the month, I made small adjustments to my portfolio, removing my Facebook and reducing Visa Inc positions, while ploughing the proceeds into Manulife US REIT.
I’ve been reviewing my portfolio weightage and it seems that I’ve gone overboard in buying REITs and property counters, so I’ll be on the lookout for growth companies in the US and HK markets to add to my portfolio going forward.
Ring closure progress
Move target: 600 cal
All rings closed: 17/27 days
As part of my drive to improve my health, I vowed to keep track of my Apple iOS Activity Ring Closure progress going forward.
This month, I was able to keep to my promise for most days of the month except when I wasn’t feeling very well (22-24 Feb) and when I’m overseas (26-27 Feb). 3 of the days that I failed to close all rings was due to me forgetting to stand for 1 more hour, which is frustrating to say the least.
Will have to continue reminding myself to be more conscious on this next month.
Blog refresh progress
As you may know, I embarked on self-hosting of my blog after Chinese New Year and have been experimenting extensively the on layout, advertising mix, SEO and AMP of the website. Still have many kinks to work out especially on the SEO and AMP areas. Will need to do more Google and Youtube learning on this.
100 Facebook Page likes
February also saw my Facebook page crossing 100 likes. Thank you for your continuing support and hope that you have found my articles useful in your own journey to financial independence.
